Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his desire in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is prepared to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is currently halfway through the four-year deal he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German club, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which marked the maiden significant achievement of his notable career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he previously was, and would certainly consider extending his tenure in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
